This course provides an introduction to comparative political analysis.  The central focus is on how the formation of nation states and modern economies has affected peoples in diverse settings.   The course covers countries in which Pitzer has External Studies programs: Zimbabwe, Nepal, Italy, China, Venezuela and Turkey.
