REQUIREMENTS OF PSYCH 105
Everyone will be
expected to complete the following REQUIREMENTS:
- Reading assignments--if everyone does all of the reading in
advance, our discussions will occur at a significantly higher level,
and so will be much more interesting.
- (10%)--Class attendance and participation (see #1).
This COULD
make a big difference.
- (15%)--A diary, containing a summary of the things you
learn during your internship experience. This assignment will
not be
letter graded (Note: While I'm not uninterested in what you DO
in your internship, you'll be graded on what you have LEARNED,
which will require some reflection in your diary.)
- (10%)--It is imperative that you show up for the hours each
week when your assigned internship supervisor will be expecting you.
Therefore,
I will be asking each supervisor to give me some feedback on your
performance in his/her classroom; this feedback will be figured into
your final grade in this class.
- (20%)--One in-class midterm examination.
- (20%)--One paper on a topic (that we've agreed upon in
advance) related to the material covered in this course. More
information will be available on this assignment around Spring Break.
- (Please
note: I will consider any collection of 4 or more consecutive, unquoted
words taken from another source to be plagiarism. Any paper
containing any plagiarized content will receive an automatic grade of
F.)
- (25%)--An in-class final examination, SCHEDULED FOR
TUESDAY, MAY 13 AT 7:00 PM.
